VITALITY services blend modalities and styles, acquired from many years of experience and education, and are designed to address the body in a whole system, whole self approach.
All sessions are individually adapted to suit your in-the-moment and long term needs and goals.
Regarding your service:

BEFORE YOUR VISIT:
Provide yourself some free time surrounding your appointment, so as to arrive on time, not feel rushed, and to allow the benefits of the service to fully absorb.
Hydrate, beginning the night prior to your appointment.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Most services offered can be performed through clothing and linens, with the exception of cupping areas. Oil is not often used.
Compressive, deep tissue bodywork, stretch modalities, and energywork modalities are employed over loose fitting, stretchy, comfortable clothing, like yoga, exercise, or gym clothes. Pants are preferred in lieu of shorts.
(clothing needs to be loose enough to allow full range of motion, though not excessively loose or baggy as to obstruct the range of motion.)
DURING YOUR VISIT:
If this is your first visit, there will be a brief review of your intake information, where we clarify anything in question, and discuss your current in-the-moment feelings/needs/concerns.
If you are returning, you will be asked if there are any changes to your health, medical care, medications, etc, that pertain to your services. You will also be asked to describe your intentions and expectations for this service, so we may strive to achieve them.
Your service is designed solely for you. Various modalities of bodywork, energywork, alternative therapies, intuition, music, and movement are incorporated into your service. The time belongs to you, and we may spend as much time as needed, focusing on specific areas, complaints, or body systems. (Please be sure to disclose what areas to avoid, or modalities you do not prefer.)

AFTER YOUR VISIT:
Healing arts, no matter how superficial to deep, can invoke a major shift in the way you feel afterward. After all, isn't that what you seek treatment for? To feel different?
Of course, each person is different in health, lifestyle, and preferences, so naturally each persons' experience will be different. It is important to consider, following certain services, an increase in metabolic toxins may be released into the body through the process of the service. Staying hydrated before and after your service can help ease or eliminate detoxifying side effects.

NOTE ON CUPPING:
​
A ‘rest’ in a warm environment is recommended rather than ‘activity’, especially where it can be cold or windy. Following cupping treatment, the pores on the skin open. Any exposure to wind or cold at this stage can cause adverse effects, and therefore should be avoided. It is not recommended to engage in strenuous activity in the few hours following a cupping treatment. Cupping marks vary in color/texture and can last anywhere from hours to weeks. This is normal.
